Good writing. It will be interesting to see what Philip does.

The open source viewer code & Snowglobe has created some great improvements in viewers. My thanks to Philip and all those creating alternate viewers.

I am looking forward to new features in SL to compete with ‘perceived’ advances in Blue Mars. I am very curious how BM is getting 25 to 50 AV’s in an area and not lagging. Their claim they can put a 1,000 in and not lag… well, I’ll have to see it.

Simple, SL doesn’t run or work any better than Real Player. Time for someone that knows what they are doing to step up to the plate.

That’s ironic considering Lotus 1-2-3 is the poster child for copy-protection phail.

It’s too late to bemoan Philip’s loss and speculate on futures; he’s been effectively gone for almost a year now anyway.

Do you seriously think so, Ann? How will Linden Lab make any money with a technology without users to sustain it? Even Mitch did sell his licenses for Lotus 1-2-3 — for enough money to make him a millionaire.
